    Yes, we will require a copy of your selected vendors.

    *Please Note: Balloons, Styrofoam, Straws and live animals (including fish) are not allowed to be brought into the Aquarium. Please note that we have a strict 91db sound limit at the Aquarium.

  2. What do you need to hold a date?
    Once you select a date with your Event Coordinator and they confirm availability, we will send you a Banquet Event Order contract to confirm the date and times. We ask that you wait to send out any invitations for the event until all parties have signed the contract.

  3. Is a deposit needed to hold a date?
    YES! A deposit for the rental fee is due to hold your date. Your final payment is due 10 days before the event date.

  4. What is included In The (On Premise) Rental Fees?
    If you choose Mystic Aquarium for your venue the following items will be provided.
    • Tables
    • Classic White Basic Linens
    • Chairs

    • Glasses
    • Flatware

  5. Do you offer direct billing?
    Sorry No, all payments are due in advance and we accept the following forms of payment: Check, Cash, Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

  6. Can I have the wedding ceremony at the Aquarium ?
    Yes! The Arctic Coast, Main Exhibit, Challenge of the Deep or the Mezzanine provide a beautiful setting for an indoor or outdoor ceremony.

  7. May I use an outside catering company?
    Sorry No! Leave the catering to us (Ocean Blue Catering) we have assembled a culinary team that includes the best local talent combining their knowledge of New England fare with sophistication of one of the top catering facilities in the area.

  8. How many guests can Mystic Aquarium accommodate?
    350 Inside or 700 Outside.

  9. What is the time frame for an event at the Mystic Aquarium?
    The rental period is 4 hours with an additional hour that may be purchased for $400.00. All events must start at 7PM and end no later than 12AM.

  10. Are candles allowed?
    Yes, candles (inside) may be used if the flame is enclosed in glass example votives or hurricanes. Outside no glass is allowed.

  11. Will someone from Mystic Aquarium be present for my event?
    Yes! The Banquet Manager, Front Gate Greeter, and Event Liaison will be available and present the evening of your event.

    Smoking is only allowed outside the front orange gates.
